I noticed no error message is displayed when the .idx files can't be written.
That happens, for example, when the directory belongs to root, and the perms are
755. Cinelerra can't create the .idx files if it is launched from a non-root
user. The .idx files are "calculated", but not written. An error message
explaining what the problem is would be better.
