I think install on dapper is no longer possible.....due to
dependencies with packaging needed from marillat

and help telling us if you did succed into that.....and eventually
which are packets with dependencies muzzol has to face.....
i think this first packages are only suitable for edgy 6.10
if you are patient i'll provide packages for dapper aswell.
by the way, upgrading to edgy is hurtless.

i tried it on ubuntu 6.06 (dapper? which i keep frequently updated),
on a p4 laptop (which means i686 architecture, i believe).
so when trying to install cinelerra through GDebi Package Installer,
i got the following message:
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libasound2
however when checking for "libasound2" with synaptic package manager,
everything seems to be there: gimp 2.2.11-1ubuntu3.1,
libasound2, libasound2-dev, libasound2-doc, all v. 1.0.10-2ubuntu4
libasound2-plugins 1.0.10-1. that's all the "latest versions" as it says.
similarly, when trying to install the other two packages from your site,
libmpeg3hv_2.1.0-2svn20061104_i386.deb and
libquicktimehv_2.1.0-2svn20061104_i386.deb
i got a similar message saying that "libc6" were not satisfiable,
although i have everything named libc6* installed, v. 2.3.6-0ubuntu20
(except libc6-dbg and, of course, libc6-amd64).
so what can be wrong?

i use ubuntu edgy so is the only system i can test packages. and for now
i just package i386 arch but i hope i'll learn enough to bring other
platforms.
any suggest will be really welcome.
