Summary: OpenGL related bug - Sharpen effect

Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: High
Component: User Interface

Hello,
To summarize: what you see in the compositor when selecting the X11-OpenGL video
driver is *VERY* different from what you get in the rendered video.
I used a sharpen effect in one of my project. In the preferences window, the
X11-OpenGL video driver was selected. I rendered the video, and discovered the
effect is far heavier in the rendered video than in the compositor window.
I suspected the problem came from the video-driver, so I selected in the
"normal" X11-XV video driver. Immediately, the image became sharper in the
compositor window. In fact, with the X11-XV video driver, what appears in the
compositor is really what I get in the rendered window. While when selecting the
X11-OpenGL video driver, what appears in the compositor looks, how can I say...
almost blur compared to the rendered video.
IMO, that's a major bug! I understand what one see in the compositor isn't
*exactly* what is in the rendered video. But here, it's so different that it
makes the X11-OpenGL video driver almost useless and... dangerous: it's time for
me to render my videos again (18 hours of rendering on my dual-core computer!)
:-/
Nicolas.
