I'm still really new to Cinelerra, but I'm having a frustrating time with the way that clips will merge together if they were sourced from adjacent material.
Is there a way to turn this feature off?

Specifically what I'm talking about is:
load a source file.
set in and out points
Insert clip (name & save)
click the outpoint, create inpoint at this location
create new endpoint anywhere
Insert clip (name & save)

Now when the two clips are placed back to back in the timeline, they re-connect into a single video clip.

This is really counter intuitive... If I wanted a clip of the larger size I would have designated that to start with. Now, if I want to insert something in-between the chunks, I have to delete them both (or more) and start over.

Thanks for any help!
