Hi All! I have two points...
1. Yesterday I tried to compile the latest SVN. After running ./configure the strange error appeared - I don't remember now and I can not repeat it... but it was something involving mjpegtools... something like 'syntakse error' or unrecognized keyword (MJPEG or sth.). It must be r975 issue, because when I checked r960 and run ./configure, everything went through smoothly... What may that be??? An error or a new feature? 2. This is more a joke than a seriouse thing... When I tried to compile 11 min long video yesterday, Cinelerra kept crashing my computer (completely freezing it). I tried everything .. various formats, running 2.0 instead of 2.1, you name it.. nothing helped. When I reach the point of dispare (and went for a walk), a ray of wisdom hit me... When I got back home I put my laptop apart... the cooler was full of dust (as expected). I cleaned the dust from the cooler, put fresh contact paste to CPU, reassembled the computer and... Video compiled without a single problem - no freezes at all. So if you often experience crashes during CPU-intensive situations, it may have nothing to do with the software - maybe just your cooler needs cleaning... That's all from me.
