there's some changes on ubuntu packages and i'm still learning how to

...the problem has been reported earlier,
your ubuntu-edgy package depends on libmjpegtools0 (marillat?),
but for further processing of my editing results, i also need transcode
which, according to synaptic, needs ubuntu's default libmjpegtools0c2a.
apparently, libmjpegtools0 and -0c2a seem mutually exclusive
(i assume they provide more or less the same functionality).
i have found out that it is actually possible to run transcode
with marillat's libmjpegtools0, but then any attempt to updating the
system
will fail with "broken package" errors which again is rather
inconvenient.
so... again, any news? sorry for bothering...
but i guess i am not the only one with this kind of problem... :-)
