Besides, the one who is not coder today, may become one tomorrow.
Writting programs is fun. But the learning curve is usually too steep
for most of the citizens of the Earth unles one gives them a hand from
time to time.

Another point... there are tasks in Cinelerra project that do not take a
guru to accomplish. What is more, a guru may get bored doing them. There
is work enough for all leves and all abilities.

So I have an advice (just advice though, sorry)...
I believe that there are some newbies around here, who may be ready to
give a hand with Cinelerra project from time to time. To mention just a
few possibilities:
   - Translations (of course)
   - Give comments on Cinelerra's user interface
   - Help with bug tracking
   - Easy coding (tinkering - such as improving GUI graphics)
   - Work on a manual
   - etc.

This list is not necessary what would need to be done - it should only
provide an example. I think that those who are present in this project
for a longer time and are doing the most of the work, may be able to
provide more comprehensive list. But I think it would be nice to have a
good system so that all who want to contribute can do so in the most
painless way.

If succesful, Cinelerra could benefit a lot and eventualy (on a long
run) also gain some more high level coders.

Advice over...

All the best!

Miha
