Is it normal ? every Effect gets sort of a new effect track. Same in 2.0. That is not true only for titles, but for every plugin/effect. I consider this a good example for a usability issue. The moment you start working out the details on your project, the Cin.GUI gets quite a pain, i.e. you have to scroll around all the time, wait for the redraw (esp. when using HDV) and most of the active screen area is almost empty at the same time. Can't be changed at the moment, I fear. Cinelerra would need much more developer power, you know.
Hermann PS: as Rafaella alredy poited out, the problem can be ameliorated at times by "re-using" effects with keyframes and different settings.
