But in the case of HD wouldn't this be because you have so many more
pixels to start with? You can through away a lot when you rescale and
still get a good image. Or are you just referring to blur?

BTW- camcoders do really a lot of blurring before DV-compressing,
HDV video, rescaled to DV resolution looks a way better.
