This has got to be simple but thats sometimes a problem. I am running
Ubuntu 7.04 and installed Cinelerra and got an error message.
I made my self root in terminal and typed in the message. su -
(password) Echo "0x7fffffff' >/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax as the error
message called for I then get the symbol > . I clicked enter a couple
times and still get the> symbol. I don't know what to do next. I hit
enter but I get the symbol again. I don't understand what is required
here. I am just learning to use the terminal. I have Premeire in Xp
and used it to do some learning on but it is not a legal copy so I
don't really like using it. Have been looking Cinelerra over and I
believe I am really going to like it and can afford it. Thanks for any
help. Doug
