I´m gonna make a series of videos using cinelerra, and editing dv/hdv, I hope that helps the peolpe meet cinelerra a little bit more, and show how it works for the average editor, but remember, CINELERRA is the most complex and powerfull editing tool out there, DIVA, woin´t be so good, and jahshaka, is vaporware... the comunity, should relize before of the advantage of linux64 as a stable platform and develop audio and video tools(when windows an the new OSX was running 64 bits) to use this advantage (who needs a openoffice 64 anyway? is the flash player so important in x64?) in creating new SPECIAL FX, using... open 3d tools to create transitions... I guess that fork blender would be great for create transitions or even leave the option for the blender comunity to access those functions with blender.

Other missing feature, is that tool that alows you move ALL THE CLIPS from some point,to the last, If I have to separate 2 BLOCKS with 20 layers (because there is not metaclips), I must copy and paste a SILENCE, but as the clips move to the rigth, the FADE KEYFRAMES in aundio/video stay behind, in premiere this option is reached using shift+M (mover EVERITHING IN ALL LAYERS, from the dragging point to wherever we want) if you use Mkey alone, it moves EVERYTHING in that single track.

marquitux
if someone can help me with the themes... please. and of course I will use a compatible license,I want to CHANGE THE cinelerra LOOK, and I have no problems o that sense, is creative commons OK? or shuld I choose gnu?

thanks for the reply kevin, I want to show you some WIP in the themes:
http://www.freewebs.com/anubis4d/cinelerra/themes.cinelerra.tar.gz

of course there is a long way to go, I don´t know what does every image ob
the theme, just replace other themes. pleas a BEG you for help here. Is
there any way to enlarge the icons? (play, stop, etc) in 1280x1024, looks
really tiny.

I love cinelerra, and I use it for over a year now... I want to give
something back.

what the rest of you think about thos issues?
sincerelly yours.

Umm... maybe this is silly, but I noticed the heroinevirtual website
says the orignal author(s?) of cinelerra is unemployed (again).

My suggestion: what if we did what ardour.org does, and ask for
donations to pay hvirtual (whoever he, she, they are) to keep working
on cinelerra? Given that new would-be contributors regularly seem
baffled by the code base, presumably hvirtual could fix a few
outstanding bugs at least, if not push things forward substantially.

just an idea,
