Ries, I think we may have talked about this over IRC last week. I run Cinelerra on my MacBook Pro via Fedora Core 6 on VMware Fusion. Parallels had given me a kernel panic.
Because it is a virtual machine, it will run much slower than native. However, it does fill a gap if you really need to run Cin on your mac and don't want to fuss with an OSX install. scott On Sun, 2007-05-27 at 08:34 -0500, ries van Twisk wrote: > hey, > > > I did see you post here about running cinelerra on > OSX : > https://init.linpro.no/pipermail/skolelinux.no/cinelerra/2006-August/007364.html > > > What is the current status of this, > when I checkout a SVN version and install all required modules > would I be able to compile and run cinelerra? > > > In my search for a NLW, I just came across cinelerra, > but when I try to run in parallels (ubuntu 7 and cinelerra compiled by > myself). > > > It starts to crash after 5 seconds of playing a movie. > Currently I am trying to disable mmx functions (./configure > --disable-mmx) > and see if that will help. > > > thanks, > Ries van Twisk > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
