I've found two GUI frontend for dvdauthor: Dvd Styler and Q DVD Author.
Can you suggest me which is the best?

ManDVD is the only tool I've found which performs the whole process (right up to burning the DVD). As an added bonus it has a really friendly gui ... although at present it seems to lack the -nopanscan option. You can hack the process a little to get access to extra options (I interrupt ManDVD, fiddle with the xml file and then use dvdauthor to finish the authoring process).

It has been a while since I tried the two tools you mentioned so perhaps they are working better now.

If you want to do anything ambitious you will need to learn a bit about the command line tool dvdauthor (which is one of the back end to these programs). Looking at the xml files created by any of these gui tools is a really good way to learn about the xml files which dvdauthor uses.

Also you probably won't get good quality results without learning a bit about the DVD format, resolutions, aspect ratios, file structures and all that general stuff (try wikipedia).
