It should be something simple.

The effect covers the portion under the cursor. (The line's the cursor,
right?)
Something is checked.
I'm looking at the compositor window.

There is a box that goes off when I uncheck the stuff at the top, but it
doesn't look like the one in the guide. Also, it doesn't change when I
change the block X and block Y values.
