Hi Vale Thanks for your mail. Yes, I have reinstalled Feisty from scratch, did all updates online. Downloaded gazillions of libs, changed from the nz to the main server added all sort fo paths in the source list. So I should be up to date. However as I said when I try to install your deb package for ubuntu, depedencies are not met for it needs libs more recent than what I have been provided. Hence the reason I prefer compiling from source.
If there is any information I can give I am more than happy to comply. Now I'll make sure, but it seems on top of my mind that my Suse machine encounters the same error with libx264. Maybe be the solution to my problem on this machine as well .. Important point: I have installed for the main distro not the alternate CD, e.g. no lib32 alternative if needed. Could it be it ?
