Right now, sad to say I'm using the motherboard video of 16MB. It's
ugly. This server class machine is picky about video cards and I can't
use the NVidia card I bought for it. So right now and maybe for the
future, I am going to forego OpenGL. Though surprisingly, I still get
30fps in the compositor on HDV content (without effects present). And
cinelerra seems very stable. I will put it through its paces with my
current project and let the list know how I do.
The one nagging issue I do have is that Cinelerra does not seem to be
utilizing the processors to 100% at all times..hangs around 30% mostly.
I will work through this project and write up an analysis after I am
done.
But yes, life is good!
