On the point of the tip of the day, the interface is already dead if I

ssh the tip of the day window buttons are the only thing that is
active, I cannot even close the windows normally, I have to use xkill.
I have downloaded Cinelerra from one of the 'Community repositories' the
10.3 Suse offers (the Packman repo in this case), and while I didn't do
much with it yet, I do manage to get beyond the 'tip of the day', load
files etc.
Of course this is not a self compiled SVN version, but with me it seems
to work, so if that's all ou ask...
Btw, I have a 64-bit system.
