yes i unchecked this option, i think the problem was in the audio driver i
have change to alsa and now its working

that's normally not called a problems of sync....:D anyway...
finally
im still having problems with transitions effects when i put a dissolve the
video walk very slow, but in most effects its working ok.
Im using x11-opengl looks ok to me, what problem did you saw
going quite slow when beryl is used on desktop as well, although i
have to say i use debian for my edition, while ubuntu is common distro
used by my "pupils".....
:) remember a good report help for a quick solution and preserve us
from a terrible headhache...

:) i suppose you're using x11-xv....you're right, many problems
running x11-opengl with last nvidia driver....
about sync...did you uncheck option "play every frame" in the
preference window?
