x264 works sad with pipes. I think this is because of it recognizes
input format by file extension.
Gee ... I thought it was one of the strenght of the unix like OS... is
X264 derived from Windows :-X
You can use ffmpeg for x264 encoding with libx264 as video codec
but in my experience x264 tool makes much better video quality.
Well, no way I can get ffmpeg to work with x264 and the H264 export from
Cinelerra is not working either.
So I'll stick to y4m /x264 solution
