Hey guys, I tried attaching a patch for Ficl earlier on, but it was too big for the moderator's liking. It's a 337k patch which uncompresses to about 2.2M. The patch is big because it has a lot of code in it - basically Ficl with some mods by me.

I've created a patch for Cinelerra which you can use to create (VERY FLEDGLING) scripting support using Ficl (Forth-Inspired Control Language). I had some documentation on it, but that seems to have disappeared into null-space. The good news is that the patch builds against the latest SVN code (at least on my machine!). I get much of a response about my patch, I may be tempted to see if I can resurrect the documentation I have for the cine-ficl combo, and maybe even see if I can make my git repos available. I had tried getting the git daemon going in Feisty, but gave up when the documentation I found on the web didn't really give chapter and verse on how to set it up properly. Maybe Gutsy is different, so I might be tempted to have a second crack at it. I'm a novice user at git, so I'm sure I go about most of these things half-cocked anyway.

I've kinda lost interest in both Cinelerra and Ficl :( - I find that Kino does much of what I want, and if I were to attempt scripting in Cinelerra, I might be tempted to use ECL (Embedded Common Lisp), which is much more high-level.

I'm tinkering about with some doc-fix and git niceties, which I'll probably make available as patches.
