and images... a document where we could see all your visions of what
Cinelerra could be, ideas on the user interface. (here are some of my

until he is connected) ). To the coders: I know that these sort of pages
don't help in coding stuffs but they can enable discussions. Unlike some
of the others I can understand that Cinelerra can't be use these days in
a professional workflow even if it has some capabilities to postulate.
I will, actually i´m thinking about a blog, for discussings LINUX VIDEO
EDITING TOOLS maybe, because the cool features that can improve cinelerra,
can help other softs also.
In my opinion (and it is the opinion of other people too) Cinelerra
needs a sponsor. Do you have an idea or ideas of poeple or societies who
could support the Cinelerra Community? Even to finance a new web
server. I was thinking about little broadcasters (of diverse countries)
gathered in one association who could use the software in their workflow
and bring their opinions on it on how to ameliorate it. Cehteh (see irc
channel) thought about Main Concept who decided to stop the development
of Main Actor. Why not?
Mainactor... forget them by now, they are dedicated to CODEC develpment.
now tell me, wich company you think would suport a software that can´t fill
its needs, actually, there are very CHEAP Windows based NLES, why would they
go LINUX/CINELERRA?
I LOVE cinelerra, and the icnredible features it has, but still I thinks it
can´t fill the editor´s needs fully, but what someone not-so open minded
like me would think? (oh some wired soft... i need to change the whole
platform, so I loose afterFX, and my favorite other apps because they don´t
run in wine... should i put money out there? they are not making a NLE for
prefessional, why should an invertor come to cinelerra?)
I cin. needs invertor, create an open plugin infraestructure (not compilable
like premiere) so companies could create software that runs with cin... and
maybe you have a shot, but before that, you need a LOT of people using it,
profesional users, BUYERS.
you was using "the same january Cinelerra". Why don't you upgrade to a
recent version (look there ==> http://cv.cinelerra.org/svn_log.php)?
I can´t compile it, I have tried but it´s to complex, patching and
compiling... I have tried like for a year now... that´s not for me (what
other editors think? have to compile? forget it i will stay with my
WIN-easy-to-install-NLE).
I am using and OLD version of cinelerra (like many other editors wich can´t
undertand the art of compiling) because the FRESHRPMS repository in fedora 7
is OLD, so many of the new FEATURES, maybe a secret to people like me.
