Thanks Craig. I used to use render to Quicktime for Linux, but recent use has produced videos where the colours are mixed up :( - although I haven't tried your suggestion. Rendering to OGG seemed to work consistently well for me. Sometimes, Cinelerra has its moods. I don't produces videos anything like the pros - I just use it ocassionally to make my clips for YouTube, etc.. I quite like Kino - one can do cuts and put them together. Kdenlive looks interesting - I must give it a spin some time. Video editing on Linux is a bit like a trip to the casino. Sometimes your number comes up, sometimes it doesn't. If you bash the square peg enough times, you will eventually fit it into the round hole.
