This looks really exciting .. distributing blend files like this makes
it really easy for those of us who have very little experience with
Blender to be able to dive in and use it in very powerful ways for
video editing. I came across another one yesterday which I expect to
use instead of the titler effect or the image + image keyframe
animation technique I've used before in cinelerra.

Actually, yes, there are some areas where animated titles can help , and blender can render RGB+Alpha, so GVFX can take a feature like that easily (once the alexscript is finished). The implementation I was thinking about is EASIER for the editor because the the NLE can have a dialog, where you input your text, and when you click OK that texts is BRIDGED to blender , and the script changes the text in blender scene and calls a render (the user will never see this, just will see the monitor window change). When I get to that point, I will make OTHER blendfile for titles presets (many animated tets whith texturemaps and deformations), I don´t want to mix the transitions in the same file.

but remember, we´re in our primary stage here, the idea is to have PRESETS, that an video editor JUST edit, if he know something about blender he will have and alternative... to modify hes/her own stuff. But we will make a GREAT TRANSITION BANK before.
