I just wanted to say, "Thank you" to everyone for all your help in
getting me running with cinelerra. It's been great reading the
threads and interacting with you all, and cinelerra was HUGE in
getting me involved in serious video editing. It's a wonderful
application - a bit rough around the edges, mind you - and by using it
I've come to understand just what is happening when I'm editing
video. Without cinelerra I wouldn't know anything about multiplexing,
transcoding, multi-pass, and a host of other things - and I'll always
be grateful to it for that.
I am, however, moving away from Linux for my personal desktop, and so
I'll be leaving cinelerra (for the most part) as well. I'll still be
keeping a linux machine handy, if for no other reason than because I
want to be able to edit all my cinelerra projects - but it'll no
longer be my daily use editor. I'll be unsubscribing from the list
soon as well - but I wanted to let you all know how great it's been to
be part of this project even in only a small way.
