I work at a professional movie company. (I can't disclose the name, but
it's one of the "Big Three" in the motion picture industry.) They use
Avid for HD editing on 576x480 special offer flat panels right now. The
bug mentioned here is the only one that keeps them from migrating the
entire business to Cinelerra. Of course, they did a thorough analysis of
the other bugs in the application and found that they are not much worse
than what they have to put up with when using the grossly overprized
Avid.
So fix this one bug, and you'll have a real big fish as reference
customer for Cinelerra.
The Preferences dialog has grown tens of pixels due to additional
settings that were crammed into the existing "tabs".
My suggestion would be to remove the default single image duration
from Preferences|Record, and put it in the Load File dialog instead.
There it would be much more discoverable, and there is enough free
space between the OK and Cancel buttons to fit it in.
The Preferences|About would need some compacting, like using two
columns for the credits instead of one.
Anyone?
