Summary: at start cinelerra ask me to modify the
                    "/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax" value to 0x7ffffff
           Product: Cinelerra
           Version: 2.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: Medium
         Component: Sound Playback
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

At the start cinelerra ask me to modify the "/proc/sys/kernel/shmmax" value to
0x7ffffff, if i do so the program works fine for a few minutes, but then the
sound and video playbacks get out of sync definitely, even if i restart the
computer. And so the program becames unusable...(I use DV video)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.set the value of /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax to 0x7fffffff
2.use the program for a few minutes
3.

Actual Results:
The sound and video are still out of sync... it seems that the sound works
correctly and that it's the video that slowers down.

I use the classical interface.
My computer is Intel Celeron D 3,33 Ghz ; 1 GB DDR ; ATI Radeon 9600 (works
fine with proprietary drivers) ; 160 GB Sata HDD.

Thanks to you for doing your best making cinelerra, I think we're a lot of
waiting for an open-source well-working video editing software.
