Oh goodness gracious the last thing I would want is for the developers of Lumiera to model the new editor after imovie!
If that is what beginners need or what, then perhaps as an optional interface fine. It is certainly not anywhere near professional, and would in fact scare away any professional editor. Most of my timelines end up looking like this (avid): http://bp2.blogger.com/_IOr751U0Yag/Rflz4mfx1XI/AAAAAAAAACI/dRY8iylGh-A/s1600-h/timeline.gif Again, I'm not saying it should't be an option, but please, please, please try to keep it pro. BTW, I also second user selectable thumbnail points. Something like 1st frame, 3rd frame, 1/2way in, etc would be brilliant. _____________________________________________ Northern/Southern California Producer/DP website: www.emrl.com/j e-mail: cinejay(at)emrl.com blog: www.jaytruesdale.blogspot.com _____________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
