So I got my new laptop (thanks Hermanrfor the advice) and I'd like to set it up as a dual boot Vista/Ubuntu(studio). I need Windows in order to run several things, most important is Redcine so I can convert Red files to something cinelerra (eventually Lumiera...) will be able to read.
What I would like to do is set up the hard drive with a partition for Vista, a partition for Ubuntustudio, and a NTFS common partition for the shared video files. I've read conflicting reports about Ubuntu being able to read and write to NTFS, but I'd really like to be able to use it due to the large file size of the HD, 2k and 4k files. Any suggestions, problems or cautions? Thanks, -Jay _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
