Hello World. I'm seriously considering buying a Canon HF10 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0012BC054/) if I can manage to blag a trip to somewhere that sells them cheaper than the UK (pretty much any country in the world, then!)
Having said that, if I buy this camera am I likely to suffer the problems described in the rest of this thread? It's a lot of cash to buy it to find out and I don't know anyone who has one that I can ask. Has anyone got one of these? Any comments, either on this subject or the HF10 in general? Are you good at scripting? Because the sorry state of affairs will persist until it is well documented, for every common tool on every common platform, for every release. And then it will persist some more, but at least many more people will know what _needs fixing_.
