Hi Carl,

you need to use keyframes.

...which isn't surprising one you consider what ReframeRT needs to do in
order to get the speedup/slowdown: while, at first glance one could mean
that you just need to "playback more frames", the consequence is,
because you have a fixed amount of frames contained within your footage,
the faster playback will consume your frames more quickly. So, even if
you go back to normal speed after one segment, the playback position is
different (fare more in the future) then it would be if you just had
done normal playback without the ReframeRT in the previous segment
of your timeline.

So, in short:
- - set a keyframe at the very start of your clip, and define the
keyframe's settings to be normal playback.
- - then, set your locator (playback position) at the place where
the faster playback should happen, and then create a new keyframe
by setting a higher framerate in the ReframeRT settings dialog.
- - finally, set your locator at the position where you want to go back
to normal speed and create a third keyframe, this time again with
  normal framerate.

I don't know how much you are accustomed to the concept and handling of
keyframes. Just two hints:

- - use the "set keyframes while tweaking" option. This is in the menu or
alternatively you select (enable) the "key" symbol in the timeline
window. This causes the creation of a new keyframe every time you
tweak the parameters of any plugin, camera, or projector or even
the track mute switch. So be sure to *dis*- able this setting again
once you are done with setting the keyframes (otherwise you may create
  much confusion in your project)

- - make sure that keyframes are actually displayed. There is a small
options/toggles window called "overlays", which you can show via the
"window" menu (its called "show overlays" if I recall correct).
In this window, make sure the toggle for "plugin autos" is set.
Now, you should see a "key" symbol at every keframe location right
  at your plugin.

hope this helps,
Cheers,
Hermann V.
