A well-structured Application doesn't need a lot of documentation for the developer to find the extension points he needs. Sadly enough, Cinelerra doesn't have much extension points (besides the plugin system, of course), and it doesn't have any obvious modularity. To accomplish anything, you beforehand need a quite complete understanding of how things are supposed to work, which is the core of the problem.
