Summary: Loading AVI (MJPG + PCM audio) cinelerra uses 100% of
                    CPU and never finish loading
           Product: Cinelerra
           Version: 2.1
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: Medium
         Component: File Loading
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

My Cinelerra is:

sh-3.1$ cinelerra
Cinelerra 2.1CV (C) 2006 Heroine Virtual Ltd.
Compiled on Sat Aug 11 13:46:48 UTC 2007

when trying to load .avi created by my digital camera, cinelerra uses 100% CPU
but never finishes the import job.

I have put an example file causing it here:

http://michlv.987mb.com/kif_1316.avi.jpg

It's really .avi, just store as kif_1316.avi.
(The website does not allow to upload .avi so added added .jpg)

ffmpeg info about the file:

Input #0, avi, from 'kif_1316.avi':
  Duration: 00:00:02.0, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 4392 kb/s
  Stream #0.0: Video: mjpeg, yuvj422p, 320x240, 30.00 fps(r)
  Stream #0.1: Audio: pcm_s16le, 8000 Hz, mono, 128 kb/s

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Cinelerra
2. Go to File->Load files
3. Select the file, "Append in new tracks" AND ok
4. Now Cinelerra eatch up 100% of CPU and it never stops, the main window show
clocks as cursor.

I am running Debian stable, with Cinelerra installed from Testing.

Tried Cinelerra from Live CD ArtistX (based on Debian) and doing the same.

Would be good if someone else can try to load the same file.
