Is there a HowTo for creating text images (e.g., in GIMP) to look good in Cinelerra as scrolling credits, and the like?
My issue is that as the text moves (using camera automation), the edges of the characters will flicker. I'm sure there are issues around interlacing, antialiasing, etc., but I can't fathom them. There's got to be a 'right way' to get better results. I've used both GIMP's 'native' text tool and importing .pdf images created in OpenOffice 'Writer', but don't like the results. Suggestions?
