OK, here's a specific example:

I render to OGG Theora/Vorbis, with the following options set (which are
probably the defaults - not sure) from the dialog accessed cia the
wrench thing in the render dialog:

Bitrate: 860000
Quality slider - all the way to the right.

"Fixed bitrate" checkbox checked.

Keyframe frequency: 62
Keyframe for frequency: 62
Sharpness 2.

This produces a video that when I view (with any viewer that I have
locally) is much bluer that the video looks in the compositor (or any of
the dv clips that I've used to make it).
