It seems that I'm unlucky with Cinelerra, that I only need for now to add a
simple text presentation at the beginning of video files.

Beacause in my Debian testing system it didn't seem to work properly, I
installed Ubuntu Hardy in a separate partition of my hard disk and, following
the precise indications of Raffaella Traniello's howto:

 http://www.g-raffa.eu/Cinelerra/HOWTO

, I installed Cinelerra in Ubuntu Hardy without problems. But, I launch the
program and I don't manage to do *anything* with it. I load a file and
absolutely nothing happens: I don't see anything in the main window, not the
file itself nor anything else. Then I try to close the program but it won't
close. Then I do C-c in the command line where I launched it and it closes.

Then I launch it again, but it does not work at all. Then I have to reboot the
PC and launch the program again. And so on...

I've tought that maybe 5 gigabytes are to few for the partition, so I'm going
to resize it to a larger size, but... will it really be that the cause?

If any idea comes to you, Raffaella and other Cinelerra experts out there,
please let me know.

Thanks, cheers
Rodolfo
