When you play the movie.mpg with mplayer from a terminal, there is a lot
of output. At the beginning (scroll back) it states the video and the
audio codec used.

The other method is to convert your movie.mpg to a format that cinelerra
likes, and just add it into the editing. That way, you're sure you'll
have the right output.
