I did read: http://cinelerra.org/docs/split_manual_en/cinelerra_cv_manual_en_5.html and found it a little confusing. - If Cinelerra crashes when loading a Quicktime movie, it is most likely because the format was not supported. - you may not be able to play all AVI formatted files. - MPEG If the file is unsupported, it usually crashes or shows very short tracks. After reading the manual It sounds like there is no format guaranteed to work. I have found the VLC site does a good job documenting their compatibilities: http://wiki.videolan.org/VLC_Features_Formats Could the cinelerra web page show something similar ? > On Wednesday 14 January 2009 17:48:19 Kurt Georg Hooss wrote: >> ...and be careful with the interpretation of "something like"... >> it takes time. never give up. >> > > > > -- > dr. kurt georg hooss > kurts film / schoepfung & wandel > breite strasse 6-8, d-23552 luebeck > kurts-film.de > > _______________________________________________ > Cinelerra mailing list > [email protected] > https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra > _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
