I never saw a reply to my E-mail below, so will try again. I have Kubuntu 8.04 (KDE3) AMD64 version, running on a system with AMD Athalon 64bit Dual core processor. The list of packages when I do a search for "cinelerra" in Adept which are described as a video editing package follows:
Cinelerra 1.2.1.0-2svn20081020.1 cinelerracv 2.2.2-git090131akirad2 cinelerracv-gl 2.2.2-git090131akirad2 cinelerracv-smp 2.2.2-git090131akirad2 cinelerra4-repack -----installed version 20080819 There are all kinds of other things listed (including the things listed below in the original E-mail). I assume that it is one of these which would be most suitable for my configuration, and which would support yuv4mepg. Obviously, I must have chosen the wrong one to start with. I would guess that I should uninstall it and pick one of the others, but would prefer some advice before I do so. Thanks.
