Well, the situation (in my case) is simple: Cinelerra should be built with 'internal' ffmpeg instead of relying on external one. In my case, script for building cinelerra was using '--with-external-ffmpeg' switch in 'configure' script and that enables the patch which I referenced in my previous message which makes cinelerra badly broken. :-/ I'm also not developer, but it looks that with cinelerra you need to go into developer's waters a bit. ;) Which distro you use? Knowing that might help give you more info... Otherwise, fetch (with e.g. git) latest code from the repository and build cinelerra from the source.
