I'm scratching my head... Thanks for those leads. I had found the relevant lib in /usr/lib right before your post arrived. I should have know to install the devel version of it, after all the others I've had to do. That was the last impediment - I now have it running. I have one final question - if I see some patches applied and want to try and update, is it simply a matter of running the git command again from the same folder - will that just overwrite any files that are older with the newer version?
