I compiled recently cinelerra2.1 on my fedora12 x86-64 without errors.
What distro are you using? What cinelerra version are you trying to compile?
If it's fedora, you can always download the rpm package from atrpms.
Look on pbone ==> http://rpm.pbone.net.
