hi, what is top showing you? I have Performance problems too (but far
slower machine Athlon XP 1830 MHz).
Today I installed the radeon drivers on my machine to reduce CPU Load in
2D Drawing. It took about incredible 80% CPU Load to play a zommed
timeline without any audio/video clips (follow play option enabled). I'm
now at 30% CPU Load with radeon drivers and follow play option disabled.
Try to give Cinelerra good files (quicktime/wav), close the flash****
inside your browser and have a look at top. It'll tell you whats eating
up your CPU Power. gkrellm is fine too to have a look at your filesystem
