Yes. The histogram works (also) without keyframing.
My quick workflow is:
- double click on the clip to highlight it.
- right click on the clip and select "Attach effect" from the pop-up
menu
- select "Histogram" in the first column.
The histogram effect will be loaded with the last settings used.
The "Reset" button is my friend.
can I use my projekt when changing to CV or will it probably fail?
My attempt to load CV projects to HV failed. :-(

I'll try that! I've dragged the histogram from the video effects and
there are some track connections which I don't understand yet. But with
CV Version I can be sure that histogram works individualy - and that is
good news!
I was too impatient and had to try , am running 2.1 CV Version now which
playbacks my project pretty well :)
