Hi all. I'm working with a telecined super8 file. The aspect ratio is 1.58.1

I' d make a dvd keeping this aspect ratio. Any idea about format setting and render setting?
If I recall correctly, the DVD _spec_ allows some other aspect ratios than 16:9 and 4:3, but you can not expect any hardware DVD players to support them. I'm afraid you will have to choose a compromise. 1.48:1 is very close to 14:9, which is a typical compromise ratio, rendered as 4:3 with slim black bars. Those black bars will almost vanish outside the screen on old-fashioned CRT TVs. By the way, don't rely on Cinelerra to set the proper flags and parameters for aspect ratio. The project aspect ratio setting usually only affects the _display_ in the Compositor window.
