Is it really configured for that resolution? It appears to be another resolution or aspect ratio.
See the properties of the video and you will know the detected resolution of the video. (my first few attempts at converting the video to other formats have resulted in loss of quality). I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with Cinelerra 2.1 loaded via the apt repositories. (Build from March 2010).
