Previously I used mpeg4 for video and I was able to render.  I can play dnxhd 
in any case.  I would rather avoid installing from binaries at this time 
although I will probably want to maximize performance by compiling at some 
point.

I retransoded the files with "-r 30000/1001" and it fixed the problem with 
having to set each clip to 29.7.

I ran Cinelerra from the command line and captured the text which can be found 
here:

The last line is:

Closing /home/dkoski/Movies/Cinelerra/test1.mov

The controls in Cinelerra are still active but the cursor is spinning its 
wheel.  I'll try mpeg4 but I'd rather use dnxhd.
