With the Canon XF100 available soon (I am considering to buy one), I tried
to edit a sample file from the XF300, which uses the same, as far as I can
tell, codec: MPEG2 4:2:2, 50Mbs in MXF container. Sample file: AA026401.MXF,
found on
http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-xf-series-hd-camcorders/482548-canon-xf300-xf305-lot-native-mxf-files.html
I could not load the file correctly in Cinelerra 2.5.1CV nor in the Monty
version. When loading the file Cinelerra 2.5.1CV complains that the audio is
not recognized. Monthys version just crashes.
FFplay (version 0.6-4:0.6-2ubuntu6) did play the video and audio, so that is
not the problem. Anyone able to load and edit this in Cinelerra? Any
solutions (besides editing it in OpenShot, which seems to work)?
