Such a 'mail filer' can be configured e.g. to recognize Cinelerra mails by the '[CinCV]' token in the Subject or the '[email protected]' sender address. And then such a filter will immediately move away any incoming Cinelerra mail into a separate folder. Besides, such a local mail folder can be configured to show only 'threads with new messages'. This way, you won't get lost even on high volume mailing lists. Another thing worth mentioning is Gmane.org Our mailinglist is being followed there, thus http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.cinelerra-cv.general gives you various additional options to follow the mailinglist in a more forum- or blog-like style. Moreover, on most mailing lists you can be member (i.e. allowed to post) without recieving messages. I know some people prefer reading the mails via Gmane and just write their posts via email. There are also RSS feeds available there. It is even possible to use the good old 'news://' protocol via nntp://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.cinelerra-cv.general Gmane is not part of the general Usenet, but they are just runing their own news-server. Just wanted to give hints to the various existing options Cheers, Hermann Vosseler _______________________________________________ Cinelerra mailing list [email protected] https://init.linpro.no/mailman/skolelinux.no/listinfo/cinelerra
