  Is that all? I have an MTS file from a Canon camcorder (hfm31) that
went from 114MB to 7.4GB. The size increased by a factor of 66. (I had
to use WinFF since there seemed to be no combination of options that
ffmpeg would accept.)
  And Cinelerra did not like the result. The recording resolution was
1440x1080; Cinelerra showed the video cropped to 720x540 in the
compositing window, and ran it at half speed. I could find no
combination of settings what would change the compositing display.
