Somehow, somewhere, the link most likely gets mangled, so that the ASCII
string we see in our e-mail clients is not the same as you give to your
web browser (URL) or to your shell (command line).

A line break may have snuck into the command lines (because they were long,
and thus line-wrapped) and weird characters (like the "@") may have been
escaped twice.  I'm just suggesting here...
